Department Chair. The Rev. Joseph Najera, B.A., M.Th., a graduate of The University of Texas and Edinburg Theological Seminary, is a third-generation Hispanic pastoring a vibrant multi-cultural church, Divine Providence, in the southernmost border city of Brownsville, TX.

An outstanding student, in his undergraduate studies Rev. Najera majored in English, while concentrating in the area of historical systematics in his graduate studies. He is a member of the STCRC and FMC professional associations.

Appointed as an ETS Fellow in 2010, Rev. Najera is a TA in the Department of Apologetics and Systematics, where he is writing his dissertation on
